Chester le Street mechanical artwork

My new piece for Chester le Street is under way. The four figures relating to the area are to be printed on metal sheets and made in three sections - each section rotates. This generates different combinations of figures for people to see as they pass the sculpture at different times of the day.

The mechanical device is powered by wind captured in the small turbine at the top of the sculpture creating a varied change to the figures. An autonomous energy making artwork.

Massive thanks to Seb Boyesen, Matt Gill, Colin Robson and James Taylor.
